Sue holds a bachelors degree in Mathematics from Penn State University. She has a keen interest in the fine arts,
spending her precious free time away from a busy professional career (with a large computer firm) learning various art forms. Sue explores the creative side of her bright 'dichroic' personality through
ceramics, needlework, pottery, stained glass, oil painting, and
porcelain painting. Sue serves as president for the
Heart of New
York Porcelain Artists, is a member of the Fine Art Society of the
Southern Tier, and a member of the International Porcelain Artists and
Teachers.
At the moment, her very favorite art form is the design and creation of jewelry.
Beading, wire-wrapping, and free-form porcelain jewelry are Sue's
specialties. Over the last few years, she has developed her own
unique style of jewelry which features crystals, dragonflies and other
insects, and other unique subjects. Sue's
love of nature provided the foundation for her selection of the dragonfly as her studio's logo.
You can examine her
collections of hand-made porcelain jewelry, wire-wrapped jewelry, or hand-beaded jewelry in this online gallery or you can see them in person at Gallery Two Twelve, Vestal, New York.
